[Should you come to the tea shop today, you'll likely run across one (1) Utena Tenjou enjoying a cup of tea. And she is enjoying it, but it tastes... off to her. Maybe it's because she's so used to Himemiya's tea--no other tea has tasted right since her arrival to Luceti. Still, tea's tea and this does taste pretty good.

She takes out her journal while she enjoys, writing up a letting to her current Hydra Social penpal--Edward Elric.]

Hello there!

You're Edward, right? I'm not entirely sure if you're aware of it, but we're penpals for Project Hydra Social this time around. The whole project is supposed to be about making friends, right? Well, hopefully we can be good friends.

But I guess I should introduce myself first before any of that. My name's Utena Tenjou, and it's nice to meet you. Before I was brought to Luceti, I was an 8th grader at my school, Ohtori Academy. [Let's see, what else...] I really enjoy sports! Basketball, baseball, soccer, stuff like that. And what about you? What are your hobbies?

I guess I shouldn't make this too long, so I'll just stop here. I hope to hear from you soon!

Yeah, definitely! [ she smiles, both her and Flareon walking closer to this pink-haired girl. the fox inches over to this stranger's feet, sniffing up at her. ]

I guess it's not so bad, though. I mean, this village has lot of the stuff we need, right?

Yeah, it's really not so bad. [Though in a way, being here only makes the problems Utena has worse. So far, her residence in Luceti has allowed her to escape and deny, just like back in Ohtori Academy.]

...ah? [She looks down at Flareon, and then back at Mei with a smile.] Is this a friend of yours?

[ fortunately for Mei, her main canon problems have already been resolved. being in Luceti is more of a slight inconvenience or distraction than anything else. ]

Good to hear someone else thinks the same! Are you new, too?

[ she looks over at what Flareon is doing and smiles, letting out a slightly embarrassed giggle. ] Um... yeah! This is Flareon -- one of my partners. She's a Pokemon... do you know what they are?

Oh, no. I've been here since March.

[She laughs a little, before looking down at Flareon again.] No, I don't. I'm sorry... what is a Pokemon?

Wow... That long? [ blink blink... she's not sure if she'd like staying that long. this place was nice and all, but being back in Unova after awhile was what she wanted.

but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it! for now, she must educate this girl about pocket monsters. ] Pokémon are sort of like "animals" you see in this world, but they can use attacks based on elements! Flareon is a Fire-type.

[ as a demonstration, the fox breathes out a few embers from it's mouth. CHECK IT. ]

Yeah. I wasn't really expecting to be here so long, but it just happened like that, I guess. I know some people have been here even longer, though.

[She moves back a little when those embers are breathed out. You know, just in case. Accidents happen!]

Wow, that's pretty cool! I can't say I've seen anything like that before. [And she thought all that stuff with the duels was out of this world...]

So that really is how it works, huh? Those Maloso-somethings just take us from our worlds and plop us here for who knows how long... talk about inconvenient!

[ no need to worry! usually Flareon is pretty diligent about keeping her flames in check. usually. ]

A lot of people here haven't! It's a little weird since having Pokémon was pretty normal in my world... but I'm happy to teach people!

[ hello Utena, now Flareon is hopping up on it's hind legs, putting it's front paws on her legs for support. she's putting on her best cute face, and Mei takes notice with a smile. ] I think she wants you to pet her. Go ahead!

Yeah, it really is. I mean, I hear time doesn't pass back home while we're here, but...

[Sigh. She doesn't really want to think about what could be happening if that's not true.]

Well, I think it's good that you're willing to teach others. I mean, that's the best way to do things, right?

[...d-d'aww, Flareon. Utena will pet her with a smile on her face.]
