[Should you come to the tea shop today, you'll likely run across one (1) Utena Tenjou enjoying a cup of tea. And she is enjoying it, but it tastes... off to her. Maybe it's because she's so used to Himemiya's tea--no other tea has tasted right since her arrival to Luceti. Still, tea's tea and this does taste pretty good.

She takes out her journal while she enjoys, writing up a letting to her current Hydra Social penpal--Edward Elric.]

Hello there!

You're Edward, right? I'm not entirely sure if you're aware of it, but we're penpals for Project Hydra Social this time around. The whole project is supposed to be about making friends, right? Well, hopefully we can be good friends.

But I guess I should introduce myself first before any of that. My name's Utena Tenjou, and it's nice to meet you. Before I was brought to Luceti, I was an 8th grader at my school, Ohtori Academy. [Let's see, what else...] I really enjoy sports! Basketball, baseball, soccer, stuff like that. And what about you? What are your hobbies?

I guess I shouldn't make this too long, so I'll just stop here. I hope to hear from you soon!

[Spock had been meaning to visit the tea shop for some time.... and this seemed to be the day he does so.

Spock has never been to a tea shop before... He looks around and approaches the woman.]

Greetings, I am Spock. Is this the tea shop?

[It's not often one gets to drink free tea, and quality tea at that. Tsuzuki decides the day is cold enough to warrant a warm drink, so he stops by.]

[He hadn't planned to bother anyone, except that when he walks past her he nearly trips. Cursing softly, he puts the cup down on a nearby table and gets a couple of napkins for the mess he's made.]

I'm so sorry.

[ Mei has been quite the busy Combee for the past day and a half. after finding her travelling clothes and Pokemon, she was out and about exploring the village and surrounding landmarks.

this time around, she's checking out the various shops with her Flareon by her side. most of them have been pretty boring so far, but this tea shop might break the chain! she opens the door, and her and Flareon's heads peek in. ]

Um... hi!

[Utena just recently started going to the tea shop, herself. Maybe because as it gets colder, she's been thinking of tea more? Hm...

She looks up to the man and smiles.]

Ah, hey. It's nice to meet you, Spock. I'm Utena Tenjou. [Still smiling as she takes another sip of her tea.] I think the owner's around here somewhere. Mm, what's her name again...?

[So many people here have pets, huh? ...or maybe friends is a better term. Another thought of Himemiya crosses her mind, and she shakes her head before answering.]

Hey there! [Smiles.] Have you been here before? I have to say, the tea's pretty good.

[Oh, no... poor guy. She can't just sit there and make him clean everything up by himself!]

No, it's fine! Here, let me help you. [She gets a few napkins and moves over to help Tsuzuki clean up.]

[Spock still does not grasp the concept of the hypothetical question...]

Forgive me, I do not know the name of the establishment's owner.

Oh, um... I was sort of asking myself. Sorry about that. [A nervous laugh.] Oh well, I'm sure I'll remember soon.

[Spock raises an eyebrow...]

May I inquire as to your name Miss?

[ friends is definitely the term she'd use, right next to partners! Pokemon are quite versatile that way.

but once the pink-haired girl smiles at her, she returns it as she enters the shop. ]

Nope! I just showed up here yesterday, actually... so I've been exploring a little! [ she takes a look around. ] Man, I can't remember the last time I had tea.

[Tsuzuki doesn't expect her to help him, so his expression turns into one of warm surprise at her kindness.] Thank you.

Sheesh, I don't know what's gotten into my lately. I'm not usually this clumsy.

[Healed and refreshed, Beast finds himself standing in front of the tea shop. He remembers some strange girl told him about it and suggested he should go there. He never did. Is the tea any good? Well, he can find out today so he comes in.

He spots the bright pink hair as soon as the tables come into view.] U-U-teh-na?

Utena Tenjou. I only recently became a customer here.

Oh, so you're new! Um, welcome I guess. I mean, I know we're not exactly in the perfect situation here, but we can still make the best of it. Right?

Oh, Beast! [Utena smiles wide.] It's really great to see you. Hey, why don't you come sit over here with me once you get your tea? It's always better to enjoy with company.

You're welcome. Don't worry about it, okay? I think we all have our clumsy days.

I see. Do you have any tea suggestions? I do not believe they stock Vulcan tea at this establishment...

Vul...can? [She blinks.] I don't know if they do or not. I mean, it's worth asking, but I've never heard of it before. Ah, anyway, the earl grey is pretty good.

[Spock looks back and notices someone at the counter... so he goes and gets his tea... Earl Grey.
He does not usually socialize, however, he has been working alone a lot lately, and he seemed inclined to seek out company.]

Would you be amenable if I joined you for a time?

Huh? Oh, yeah, sure. I really wouldn't mind the company at all. Feel free to stick around a bit.

My thanks Miss Tenjou. [Spock takes a seat in the chair across from her, and takes a sip of his tea...]

A satisfying flavour...this 'earl grey'..

Don't mention it. [Smile.] It is, isn't it? I used to drink all kinds of tea with a friend of mine back home, and earl grey was one of them. I wonder if I'd like tea as much as I do if it weren't for her... [...] Sorry, I must be boring you, going on and on like this.

[Spock gives her a curious look.]

Apologies are unnecessary. I am satisfied to have an opportunity to converse with another Luceti citizen.
And Vulcan's are quite fond of tea. Will you tell me more about your friend?

[That's when he realizes that she's not someone he's talked to before. He would have remembered that hair anywhere.]

Uhm. I'm Tsuzuki.

Oh, so a Vulcan is... what you are? [Blinks.] I thought it was a type of tea...

[Some nervous laughter.]

Ah, as long as you're okay with it. [She smiles, then continues.] And sure--I'd be happy to tell you about Himemiya.

Well... we're roommates at the school we go to. She's really quiet, but I think people would really like her if she would just show herself more. I think she could use more friends, y'know? She's a sweet girl, when you get to know her.

[She looks up at the ceiling for a moment.]

Himemiya's... a very special friend of mine. I really think in the time we've spent together, we've truly become close.
