[Should you come to the tea shop today, you'll likely run across one (1) Utena Tenjou enjoying a cup of tea. And she is enjoying it, but it tastes... off to her. Maybe it's because she's so used to Himemiya's tea--no other tea has tasted right since her arrival to Luceti. Still, tea's tea and this does taste pretty good.

She takes out her journal while she enjoys, writing up a letting to her current Hydra Social penpal--Edward Elric.]

Hello there!

You're Edward, right? I'm not entirely sure if you're aware of it, but we're penpals for Project Hydra Social this time around. The whole project is supposed to be about making friends, right? Well, hopefully we can be good friends.

But I guess I should introduce myself first before any of that. My name's Utena Tenjou, and it's nice to meet you. Before I was brought to Luceti, I was an 8th grader at my school, Ohtori Academy. [Let's see, what else...] I really enjoy sports! Basketball, baseball, soccer, stuff like that. And what about you? What are your hobbies?

I guess I shouldn't make this too long, so I'll just stop here. I hope to hear from you soon!

[Thanks to her help they manage to clean it up quickly. Tsuzuki smiles thankfully, dropping the napkins in the bin.]

Utena, huh? Do you work here, by any chance?

[Spock listens attentively, occasionally sipping his tea.]

Is Himemiya here in Luceti?

Yeah, definitely! [ she smiles, both her and Flareon walking closer to this pink-haired girl. the fox inches over to this stranger's feet, sniffing up at her. ]

I guess it's not so bad, though. I mean, this village has lot of the stuff we need, right?

Erm... well. No, I don't. Sorry. [A sheepish smile.] I'm more like a new customer, actually. I've only been here a couple of times.

Yeah, it's really not so bad. [Though in a way, being here only makes the problems Utena has worse. So far, her residence in Luceti has allowed her to escape and deny, just like back in Ohtori Academy.]

...ah? [She looks down at Flareon, and then back at Mei with a smile.] Is this a friend of yours?

...she isn't. I keep hoping that maybe she'll arrive, but she never does. [She'd be worried that Himemiya would be subject to experiments if she arrived, but at the same time, wouldn't it be better for Himemiya to be away from all those pointless duels for her?]

Oh, I'm sorry.

[He feels a bit silly for apologizing so much.]

It's a good tea house, though. I understand why you return here.

[Again], Spock is listening attentively....]

I believe I understand. [Spock hesitates... he has never been compelled to talk...]

My Captain was taken recently. And I do not know if he will be returned.

[ fortunately for Mei, her main canon problems have already been resolved. being in Luceti is more of a slight inconvenience or distraction than anything else. ]

Good to hear someone else thinks the same! Are you new, too?

[ she looks over at what Flareon is doing and smiles, letting out a slightly embarrassed giggle. ] Um... yeah! This is Flareon -- one of my partners. She's a Pokemon... do you know what they are?

A... alright. [He gently takes a seat across from her at the table, looking over at her cup.] So this... this is the... tea-shop.

I've never done this "penpal" thing, but the rabbit is getting on my nerves about it, so this is easier than dealing with him. Sorry if I seem out of practice.

I'm Edward Elric, but you know that already. Back home (and here too, though less formally) I was an alchemist. Research and reading science texts takes up most of my time, but I do martial arts, if that counts as a hobby. I used to do a lot of traveling and camping, too, so I know the outdoors pretty well.

[What else, what else... uh... wow, he sucks at this.]

[She laughs a little, before looking down at Flareon again.] No, I don't. I'm sorry... what is a Pokemon?

Oh, is this your first time here? [She takes a sip of her tea.]

So you're not a fan of Project Hydra Social? I don't know, it seems like a really good idea to me.

An alchemist? I think I've heard about alchemy a couple of times back home, but if I remember right, it's a dead science there. So science is something you're good at. Back at Ohtori, I was pretty good at math.

What sort of stuff have you seen on your travels, Edward? Was it fun? You see, I haven't done much of it myself.

Indeed. I am part of a space-faring organization called Starfleet. My Captain was recently kidnapped by the Malnosso, and I have to inclination of when he might be returned.

Waiting and not knowing is very difficult.

Space-faring organization? Starfleet? You mean you're part of a crew on a space ship? [Well... even if it sounds weird to her, she supposes gone through weirder things.]

That is correct.

May I inquire as to your previous occupation?

Sounds like something out of a Sci-Fi novel or something! ...um, no offense.

Oh! Um... I was a student.

No offense taken.

A student of what, may I ask?

You know, just a regular middle school student. I go to a school called Ohtori Academy, in Japan.

[Middle School? This female was only in middle school? He has assumed she was much older...]

I see. What are your prominent interests in school?

[He'll just bypass the intro-and-ending pleasantries since it's more like using the journal as normal, now.]

It's alright. I guess it works for some people, but I don't think it's all that smart to volunteer a bunch of people unwillingly just so they can "make friends". That's not something you should really be forcing. Nothing against you, though.

Alchemy's definitely not dead on my world- it's the most advanced form of science in my country, and maybe even the world. As for traveling, that's a pretty broad question. Travel is hard to summarize- it's really something you have to do yourself to understand. I guess it was fun sometimes, but since it was mostly for work, there wasn't as much time to enjoy it. I've definitely seen a lot more than most people my age.
