[Early Tuesday morning, Utena is returned to Luceti.

This Utena Tenjou is not one who seems to be accustomed to this place in the slightest. When she wakes up, running a hand through her short pink hair, she has no idea where she is. Is this another thing connected to that weird Rose Bride girl?

Then she notices the plain white dress on her person. Her expression hardens--she's decided to become her own prince, dresses don't suit her anymore. Fortunately, she also catches sight of her own clothes--including her hat--folded next to her out of the corner of her eye.

It's when she reaches for her clothes that she notices her journal. Except... she doesn't recognize it as hers. She does notice that it has her name on it, but...

This is just too strange, but curiosity draws her to pick it up and look at it. This isn't any sort of book she's used to. Eventually, she accidentally turns on the recording device.]

Wait, is this really...? [She sighs.] I wonder if this is someone's idea of a joke, or if I've been kidnapped. If they really want that strange girl so badly, they could just duel me to win her... I have no need for the Rose Bride.

[No need for her, or anything she does to the people she's "engaged" to.]

((OOC: And so, Utena is back! She has returned as her movie self, a little while after talking to Touga and Anthy by the pool but before the confrontation in the Rose Garden. This Utena is more withdrawn for the most part, but also more open with flirting when it comes to girls [if her interaction with Wakaba in the beginning is supposed to mean anything.] This effect will last for a little over a week.))

[...huh. Although Shinji didn't know Utena particularly well, he could at least tell that something was different about her. Despite living on the same floor, he feels like he hasn't seen her in a while, so he doesn't hesitate to ask:]

Utena? Did something happen?

[Utena can't help it--she's instantly suspicious and defensive. Most of it comes from waking up in such a strange, unfamiliar place, but some of it is also because she really is just more naturally suspicious and defensive than the Utena who has been here for a year.]

How--how do you know my name?!

[Welp, that answers that. He probably should've guessed, he thinks to himself. There's a frown, but he tries to figure out how to explain.]

We've met here before. I guess you don't remember it. That happens sometimes.

It does...? [She sighs, frustrated.] What kind of place is this, anyway?

[And she thought that whole duel thing was weird, and the Rose Bride moreso.]

It's really weird, that's what it is. [Of course, that's not particularly descriptive, so he elaborates.] It brings people in from different worlds. You and I probably aren't from the same place. We're stuck here, too, at least until this place randomly decides to send us back.

Yeah. Like where I come from, the ocean is red and nothing can live in it. I've never met anyone who's seen anything like that before.

[Ugh, this is just too much to take in right now. She sighs, shaking her head. Since she seems to be stuck here, she might as well ask:]

Maybe there are others from my... world, then. [Still way too weird, even with that duel in mind.] Have you run into a girl named Anthy Himemiya?

No, I haven't. Sorry. [Though, to be fair, he can hardly be described as a social butterfly and he knows that, so he adds:] But you could try asking over the journals. Maybe someone else has seen her.

Yeah, that's probably a good idea. [She's not entirely sure she'd want to see the Rose Bride, but...] Thanks.

Oh, sorry. My name's Shinji. We're actually neighbors. We live on the same floor.

...so I have a place to stay here, too? [While she isn't thrilled about being here, having a place to (sort of) call her own was kind of nice.]

Yeah. It's in the fourth community housing building, the second floor. If you're not sure where that is, I can tell you how to get there.

Well, there are definitely a lot of trees. A forest, maybe.

The forest surrounds the village. There's a lot of trees, though... [Hmm...] If you can find a river, you should be able to follow that back to the village.

Don't worry about it. Once you reach the village, the building is on the other side of the river. It shouldn't be too hard to find.
