[Waking up sprawled on the ground outside of the flower shop had not been on Utena's agenda. Nevertheless, there she was. It doesn't take long for her to regain sense and sit up in confusion.]

Where...? [Ow, what's that throbbing pain in her back? She tries to pinpoint where it's coming from by feeling around, eyes widening as she feels the feathered wings that are now there.] Wings... how on earth can I have wings? Hold on a second...! [And now looking down at her attire.] What in the world? How did this get on me?

[This is just getting more and more confusing. Fortunately for her, she notices her uniform nicely folded on the ground. Good, she can change into that and then get some answers. After that, she'll go home and--]

Oh no... Himemiya!

[If she had woken up here, does that mean Anthy did too?! With a small sigh, she gathers everything up (including some book that had been on top of her uniform--was that hers?) and walks inside the flower shop. It seems to be open, so someone in there should have answers, right?]

[After she's been clued in (and changed out of that dress), Utena will find that she has a lot to think about.

...so she's stuck here, and time doesn't pass back home during her stay. It's a lot to take in, and she's not sure how much of it she really believes. The idea of being captured and taking to an entirely different world... well, it's definitely not something that happens every day. Then again, the things she often does back home aren't "normal" things that happen every day either...

But as long as time doesn't pass at home, that means Himemiya will be fine until she gets home. The thought allows her to breathe out a very relieved sigh. She's still angry about what had just happened back in her world, though. When she gets home, she's not going to let Mikage off easily for everything he's done. For now, she'll just have to make the best of her situation here. ...which probably includes getting to know her surroundings, which is exactly why she's checking the village out now. If someone approaches her, she'll be very friendly, if not still a little disoriented from everything.]

Yeah, probably. [Laughs a little.] From what I've heard, I'll have plenty of time to learn about this place.

[Which still bothers her a little, to be honest, but...]

... How about we go inside and take shelter? The bakery is very close by and they always serve delicious food.

Ah? Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. [She smiles.] I could go for some food, really.

[And the other girl is pleasant enough company.]

It's this way. [She nods towards the bakery, then slowly starts heading in that direction, making sure to keep the umbrella over Utena's head.]

My name is Cheria.

I'm Utena Tenjou. It's nice to meet you, Cheria. [Making sure to walk at a pace that will make Cheria holding the umbrella over her head easier.] So, how long have you been here?

Let's see... I've been here about nine or ten months now, I suppose. Time has certainly flown by in a hurry.

Wow. That is a bit of time, isn't it? I wonder if it'll be like that with me, too...

I've heard some people have been here for more than four years, already...

Four years? Man... [She can't imagine being here for that long. By the time four years was up, she'd be an adult... it's a weird thing to think about.] I think they'd probably miss their homes a lot.

I know I would. I haven't even been here one year and I'm already a bit homesick.

[She's smiling anxiously, but she does mean it. She does miss her home, as well as the people in it.]

Oh... yeah, I'd imagine. Sorry for bringing that up.

O-oh, no! It's fine! This is just... the sort of thing that can't be avoided.

Ha... well, I suppose you're right about that. [A subject change is probably needed, though.] We should be at the bakery soon, right?

Yes, it's the building right there. [She points to the shop that's only about thirty feet away. They're almost there!]

Great! It'll be a relief to be out of this rain, won't it?

It certainly will be! [Her hair is getting wet and when her hair gets wet, it's going to turn all curly and blah. The sooner she can take shelter, the better! As they reach the bakery, Cheria will reach out to open the door for Utena.]

Ah, thanks. [She smiles at Cheria before walking in.]

[And Cheria will follow, shaking the umbrella outside one last time before closing it and leaving it by the door. Gosh, it's really starting to pour, isn't it?]

Jeez, that rain... [It really is. But it's okay, because they're in the Bakery now!]

This... drafting thing. What's it all about?

Oh, that's... [She lowers her head for a moment.] There is a war going on outside the barrier. The Malnosso are fighting a group of cultists known as the Third Party. When some of us are drafted, it means we have to fight the Third Party in the Malnosso's name.

A war... [She looks thoughtful for a few moments.] That sounds pretty serious. Still, I hope I can help out if any drafts happen while I'm here.
